Most notarizations take ten minutes once we’re in the room. The hard part is usually getting everyone and everything in the same place. That’s the part we handle. One phone call, one signature, and you’re done. No driving across town, no waiting room, no taking half a day off work.

What it costs
Two parts. The notarization itself, priced per signature, and a travel fee based on how far we’re going. After-hours and emergency calls carry a premium. You get the full number before we leave the office. No meter running, no surprise on arrival.
Kansas repealed its maximum notary fee on January 1, 2022, so there’s no state cap to point to anymore. Under current Kansas rules (K.A.R. 7-43-16) the fee has to be disclosed and agreed before the notarization, which is how we’ve always done it anyway. Before we arrive: three things
- Don’t sign the document yet. We have to watch you sign it. A document that’s already signed usually can’t be notarized.
- Have a valid photo ID ready. Driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID, unexpired. Every signer needs their own.
- Make sure everyone who signs will be there. If your document needs two signatures, we need both people in the same place at the same time.
If any of those is a problem, call ahead. There’s usually a workaround, and it’s a lot easier to sort out on the phone than on your porch.
What we can’t do
We’re notaries, not attorneys. We can’t explain what a document means, tell you whether to sign it, or prepare legal documents for you. If you need advice on the document itself, that’s a lawyer’s job, and we’ll say so rather than guess.

How fast can you get here?
Same-day is usually doable if you call during business hours. For genuine emergencies, such as a hospital admission, a jail signing, or a closing about to fall apart, call the 24/7 line at 316-247-2525 and we’ll tell you honestly how fast we can move.
Do you come to hospitals and jails?
Yes, both, regularly. Jails need an appointment because of facility rules. Hospitals we can often do same-day. Call ahead either way so we can coordinate with staff.
What does a mobile notary cost?

What if the signer can’t hold a pen?
Kansas allows a signature by mark, and allows another person to sign at the signer’s direction in the signer’s presence. Call before the visit so we bring the right paperwork and, if needed, arrange witnesses.
What if the signer doesn’t have ID?
We need to identify every signer. If there’s no valid photo ID, Kansas allows identification by a credible witness who knows the signer and has ID of their own. Tell us when you book and we’ll walk you through it.
Do you notarize wills?
Yes. Kansas wills also need witnesses on top of any notarization, and hospital or nursing-home wills often need extra care. Tell us what you have and we’ll say what the document needs before we come out.

Can you explain the document to me?
No, and neither can any notary. We are not attorneys. We verify who you are, watch you sign, and complete the notarial certificate. We can’t tell you what a document means or whether you should sign it.
