How it works

  1. Send us the documents. Email, secure upload, or drop them at 1901 E. 21st Street North. Include the best address you have, a description or photo of the person if you have one, and any court deadline.
  2. We confirm what your court needs. Kansas law (K.S.A. 60-303) spells out who may serve process and what the return of service has to contain. If your case requires a court appointment for a private server, we handle that paperwork with you before the first attempt.
  3. We attempt service. Different times of day, including evenings and weekends when that’s what it takes. Every attempt gets logged: date, time, and what we saw. Vehicles in the driveway, lights on, packages on the step, what a neighbor said. That record becomes your due diligence if you later need alternative service.
  4. You hear from us on every attempt. Not just when it’s done. You should never have to call and ask what’s happening with your service.
  5. Affidavit of service, same day. Notarized in-house the day service completes. We’re a notary office, so that step doesn’t cost you an extra trip or an extra fee.
  6. Returned to you. Email, courier, or pickup, your call.

Turnaround and rates

TierWhat it means
RoutineFirst attempt within the normal service window. Right for most filings with a comfortable deadline.
RushFirst attempt moved to the front of the queue. For hearings coming up fast.
Same-dayFirst attempt the same business day we receive the documents, when a filing deadline leaves no room.

Rates are flat, quoted per address and per person to be served, and given to you before we start. Skip-trace work is quoted separately. Call 316-265-9930 with the county, the document type, and your deadline.

When the address is bad

People move. If the address you have is stale, we’ll say so early rather than burn three attempts on an empty house, and we coordinate skip-trace work to find a current one. That gets quoted separately so you can decide whether it’s worth it.

One thing we won’t do: promise service. Nobody legitimately can. What you’re paying for is genuine, documented due diligence, and a clear record for the court when a person truly cannot be found. Any process server who guarantees service is telling you something they can’t deliver.

We’re not attorneys

We serve documents and we notarize them. We can’t give legal advice, tell you what to file, or advise you on your case. For that you need a lawyer, and we’ll say so rather than guess.

Notary and process service under one roof

Most process serving arrives with paperwork that also needs notarizing, and we do both. If the case is international, we also handle court-document apostilles, useful when serving abroad or when a foreign court needs your Kansas judgment authenticated. If you’re weighing whether you need a process server or a notary, this short explainer covers the difference.

Frequently asked questions

What counties do you cover?

Wichita and Sedgwick County as standard. Surrounding counties (Butler, Harvey, Sumner, Reno, Kingman) by request. Farther out we can usually arrange, or point you to someone local.

Who is allowed to serve papers in Kansas?

Under K.S.A. 60-303, personal service may be made by the sheriff or a deputy, a Kansas-licensed attorney, a licensed private detective, or a person appointed as a process server by a judge or clerk of the district court. For a private server, the appointment is part of the paperwork; tell us your court and case number and we’ll confirm what your case requires before we start.

How many attempts do I get?

We make multiple attempts at varied times and days, because someone avoiding service is rarely home at the same hour twice. The exact number is set when we quote your job, and every attempt is logged in writing whether or not it succeeds.

How fast do I get the affidavit?

The same day service is completed. We notarize it in-house, so it’s ready to file without a second trip.

What if they’re dodging service?

We vary times and days and document everything we observe: vehicles present, lights, packages, what a neighbor said. That record is what supports a motion for alternative service if you end up needing one.

Can you serve a business or a registered agent?

Yes. Service on business entities goes to the registered agent at the address on file with the Kansas Secretary of State, or as your court order directs.

Do you do skip tracing?

We coordinate it when the address is uncertain, quoted separately so you can decide whether it’s worth it before we spend your money on a stale address.

What does process serving cost?

Flat rate, quoted per address and per person to be served, before we start. Rush and same-day attempts cost more than routine. Call 316-265-9930 with the county, the document type, and your deadline and we’ll give you the number.
