I-9 Employment Verification Notary
Remote-hire I-9 verification, on-demand. We complete Section 2 in person — at your office, our store, or your remote employee’s location anywhere in the Wichita region.
Federal law requires every U.S. employer to verify a new hire’s identity and work authorization via Form I-9. When the new hire isn’t local, employers use an authorized representative — APB Notary is ready to serve in that role for Wichita-area remote hires.
How It Works
Employer sends us the I-9 form
Employee’s Section 1 is already completed by them. You email us Section 2 and any instructions.
New hire meets with us
In-store at our 21st & Grove location, or mobile to their home/office. They bring the required ID(s) from List A or List B + C.
We complete Section 2 as authorized representative
Verify ID, complete Section 2, sign and date. Return the completed form to you within 24 hours (often same day).
Note: We Are an “Authorized Representative” — Not a Notary Act
I-9 verification is NOT a notarial act — federal law explicitly states the authorized representative does not need to be a notary. However, employers often prefer using notaries for the documentation, professionalism, and reliability. Some states (like California) prohibit notaries from notarizing I-9s; we strictly do not stamp the form with a notary seal — we sign and complete Section 2 as the authorized representative.
What the New Hire Should Bring
Either one document from List A OR one document from List B plus one from List C.
U.S. Passport · Permanent Resident Card · Foreign passport with I-551 stamp · etc.
Driver’s license · State ID · School ID · Military ID · etc.
Social Security card · Birth certificate · Native American tribal document · etc.
